About Team Logan Properties

Meet Jim Logan

REALTOR® | Broker-in-Charge | Team Logan Properties with NorthGroup Real Estate

Real estate has never just been about houses, acreage, contracts, and closing dates to me. It's about people making some of the biggest decisions of their lives—and having someone in their corner who will tell them the truth, help them understand their options, and look out for their best interests.

I'm Jim Logan, REALTOR® and Broker-in-Charge with NorthGroup Real Estate and the face behind Team Logan Properties.

For more than a decade, I've helped buyers and sellers throughout Northwest North Carolina navigate residential homes, land and acreage, mountain properties, rural real estate, relocation, and everything that comes with buying or selling in this part of the state.

And there's a story behind the name Team Logan Properties that means more to me today than ever.

The Story Behind Team Logan Properties

Team Logan Properties was built by my wife, Shelly, and me.

For years, we worked side by side helping people buy homes, sell properties, find land, move to the mountains, relocate to our area, and sometimes simply figure out what their next step should be.

Shelly wasn't just my business partner. She was my wife, my teammate, and an important part of what made Team Logan what it became.

After Shelly's passing, I made the decision to continue Team Logan Properties and the work we built together.

So while today you will work directly with me, the Team Logan name isn't going anywhere.

It represents years of relationships, clients who became friends, lessons learned around kitchen tables and closing tables, and a reputation Shelly and I worked hard to build together.

I'm proud to carry that forward.

Real Estate With Straight Answers

I've never believed a REALTOR®'s job is simply to get someone to sign a contract.

Sometimes my job is to tell a seller that the price they have in mind probably isn't realistic.

Sometimes it's telling a buyer that the beautiful mountain house they're looking at has a driveway, well, septic system, access issue, or other concern they need to understand before moving forward.

And sometimes the best advice I can give somebody is, “Don't do anything yet.”

I'd rather lose a transaction than give someone advice I wouldn't give my own family.

That's the way I've tried to do business from the beginning.

Local Knowledge Matters Here

Northwest North Carolina is a special place to live, but real estate here can be a little different.

A property may have five acres, but how much of it is actually usable?

A mountain home may have an incredible view, but what is access like in January?

A piece of land may look perfect, but what about septic, water, road frontage, easements, restrictions, topography, or financing?

Those details matter.

I work throughout Wilkes, Surry, Yadkin, Ashe, and Alleghany Counties, including the North Carolina Foothills, Yadkin Valley, and Blue Ridge Mountain communities.

I specialize in:

  • Residential homes

  • Land and acreage

  • Mountain properties

  • Rural properties

  • Seller representation and pricing strategy

  • Relocation buyers

  • New construction

  • Investment properties

My job isn't simply to know what's for sale. It's to understand the communities, the land, the market, and the questions that need to be asked before you make a decision.

A Different Kind of Real Estate Experience

I believe good real estate service comes down to a few things:

Tell people the truth.
Answer the phone.
Communicate clearly.
Know your market.
Pay attention to the details.
And do what you said you were going to do.

That sounds simple.

Unfortunately, simple doesn't always mean common.

Whether I'm representing a first-time buyer, marketing a family home, walking acreage with a land buyer, helping someone relocate from another state, or selling a mountain property overlooking the Blue Ridge, my goal is the same:

Give you enough information, perspective, and professional guidance to make a decision you feel confident about.

No pressure. No gimmicks. No pretending every house is “the one.”

Just experienced, straightforward real estate guidance.

Let's Talk

If you're considering buying or selling in Northwest North Carolina, you don't need to have everything figured out before you call.

Sometimes the best place to start is simply a conversation.

Tell me what you're thinking, what you're concerned about, and what you're trying to accomplish. I'll help you sort through the options and determine the next step—even if the next step isn't hiring me.
